Abraham Myers

Abraham C. Myers was an American Jew who was a military officer and a graduate of West Point. During the Seminole Wars, he served as a quartermaster in the United States Army. During the American Civil War, he served as a colonel in the Confederate States Army and was an associate of General Robert E. Lee. He married the daughter of Major General David E. Twiggs. The city of Ft. Myers, Florida is named after him.[1][2]
